19th-century American Barrel

Included in John's carefully curated collection of antique furniture and oversized items is this 19th-century painted wood barrel. Typically used for storing and transporting wine, vinegar, oil, or dry good, these barrels were cylinder in shape for easy rolling, and bunghole at its side, with painted wood staves, and metal handles and hoops.
