Early 20th-century European Blown Glass Cased Demijohn

Included in John's carefully curated collection of antique furniture and oversized items is this blown glass European demijohn with handles from 1900. Typically used for fermenting and storing wine, vinegar, oil, and other liquids, these glass jars were encased in wicker baskets and insulated with straw to prevent damage while transported.
