Large Lockbox with Gold Strapwork (BC222)

This lockbox features different bands of strapwork. Strapwork in porcelain is a type border that usually consists of a repeating motif. The base features a thick french style border to break up the length and give the eye a treat, while the lid border is inspired by roman frescoes. The bolt is inscribed with the makers name in wavy gold lettering. The box includes a lock and key.
