18th-century Dutch Brass Tobacco Box

Among John Derian's trove of handpicked vintage & antique goods, is this antique oval tobacco box. Engraved, hinged brass boxes of this time were often used to store loose tobacco, reflecting both the craftsmanship and Holland culture in the 1800s.
